Mobile Unit Manager in Support Functions
Do you have experience working as a manager in support functions and want to take your career to the next level? Here is a career opportunity to gain broad experience in all interventions from housing, home support to employment for various target groups. In the role of Mobile Unit Manager, you will act as a quality-assuring bridge during vacancies and drive the operations for the next manager to take over.
About the Position
In the role of mobile unit manager, you will support the units within the entire support function area based on their needs, for example during longer absences of the regular unit manager. The tasks mainly involve temporarily covering for managerial vacancies and relieving existing unit managers during work accumulation. This assignment can be within all support function areas and various interventions.
You are expected to take responsibility for personnel, finances, and operations within the unit. It is also part of the assignment to drive the operations in a way that promotes participation and engagement among employees.
You are also expected to be a link and contribute experiences that you gather from the different operational areas so that these can be used in overall development work to improve our internal processes.
Examples of Tasks:
- responsibility for personnel, budget, and operations
- lead and support employees, and ensure they receive the training they need
- lead, develop, follow up, and analyze operations against set goals
- communicate with all stakeholders and manage information, as well as coordinate and find collaborative solutions
- drive the unit cost-effectively and take action in case of deviations
- ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, guidelines, and procedures
- contribute to the development of our internal processes
About the Workplace
The Social Administration area of support functions in Örebro Municipality provides support and services to individuals with physical and mental disabilities according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). The organization is governed by political decisions and given financial frameworks. The Development Department is part of the support function area that supports our various areas and the execution of interventions consisting of the operational areas; Housing with special services, Social Psychiatry, Daily Activities, personal assistance, children and youth activities, and LSS leisure. Each area consists of several unit managers led by an operations manager. As a newly hired mobile manager within the administration, you will receive an introduction to all these operational areas.
As a manager, you are expected to be a close leader in the operations, and we have new, fresh office spaces in our activity-based office Åbylunden 1 to collaborate with unit manager colleagues or other support functions as needed.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone who thrives in a role where circumstances and environments change. You are good at planning and organizing your work and have a knack for analyzing and creatively and effectively solving everyday problems. You are attentive but also clear in your way of expressing yourself, and you know how to achieve common goals together. You are eager to take initiative and drive things forward, which inspires and motivates your colleagues. A prerequisite is that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Requirements:
- degree from a university/college of at least 180 credits
- managerial experience with personnel, financial, and operational responsibility in the support function area
- good knowledge of the legislation governing the operations (SoL, LSS, HSL, Work Environment Act)
- experience working with digital tools and operational systems
- valid driver's license (B)
Meritorious:
- experience working in municipal operations
- knowledge and interest in working with staffing economics
- knowledge and experience in change management
